Eternal Age

When you look at scripture as a whole and “periods of time” that we understand, there are various “ages” (periods of time) in which we can rightly divide the Word of God. The “eternal age” can be said to be the final age–if you will. In other words, scripture speaks of this everlasting age that will take place after the millennial kingdom, restoration of all things, the Great White Throne Judgment, and after Death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire. At this time, there will be a new heaven and new earth and all things will be made new. (Rev 21:1, Isa 65:17, 2 Pet 3:11-13)

It can also be thought of as an “everlasting age”. Beginning at that future time, everything will be just the way God intended from the beginning and it will be the time in which all of God’s children have been waiting for. This will be a glorious condition in a paradise in which God’s right way of living will result in a quality of life beyond what anyone could have ever imagined. The eternal age will fulfill God’s greatest purpose.

God’s ultimate purpose is for His family to enjoy His fullness of life, with Him, in His Kingdom forever. This will be the eternal age and it will be everlasting.
